8:40 – 9:00 a.m. Large Group (Review Second Step Lesson of the Day and Creative Curriculum Lessons.
9:00 – 9:20 a.m. Breakfast & Sharing Time (At least two food groups and milk will be provided. Teachers and children engage in conversation about healthy habits and table manners)
9:20 – 10:50 a.m. Learning Centers (Children choose play experiences with the high school students facilitating. Bathroom check takes place during this time.)
10:50- – 11:00 a.m. Transition (Songs and fingerplays are completed to move children to Large Motor/Outdoor Time.)
11:00 – 11: 35 a.m. Large Motor / Outdoor Play (Playground play or indoor alternative)
11:35 – 11:40 a.m. Transition (Children are called in and songs/fingerplays are done to move children to Read-Aloud.)
11:40 – 11:55 a.m. Read-Aloud (Follow Creative Curriculum Book Discussion Cards for First Read-Aloud) Use Creative Curriculum Mighty Minutes.
11:55-12:00 p.m. Transition (Songs and fingerplays are completed to transition children by small group to wash hands, use the bathroom and prepare for Lunch.)
12:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch & Sharing Time (Children bring lunch from home and milk is provided. Teachers and children engage in conversation at their small group tables about healthy habits and table manners)
12:30 – 12:50 p.m. Small Group Age-Differentiated Activity Time (Follow Creative Curriculum Small Group Lesson for Yellow, Green, and Blue.) Small flexible group lessons are planned based on the developmental needs of the children.
12:50 – 12:55 p.m. Transition (Songs and fingerplays are completed to move children to Large Motor/Outdoor Time.)
12:55 – 1:25 p.m. Large Motor/Outdoor Play (Playground play or indoor alternative.)
1:25 – 1:30 p.m. Transition/Cool Down (Cool Down activity is planned to transition children to nap/rest time. Children are encouraged to use the bathroom during this time.)
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Nap/Rest Time (Children are expected to nap or rest quietly on their cots during this time. Teachers provide individual attention as needed to encourage this.)
3:30 – 3:45 p.m. Floor Time/Snack & Sharing Time (Children are gently encouraged to wake up, use the bathroom, wash hands and prepare for either Floor or Snack Time. At least two food groups will be provided. Teachers and children engage in conversation about healthy habits and table manners)
3:45 – 4:00 p.m. Large-Group Roundup & Read-Aloud (Recall today’s events and inform children of tomorrow’s activities. Follow Creative Curriculum Book Discussion Cards for Second and/or Third Read-Aloud.)
4:00 – 4:25 p.m. Large Motor/Outdoor Play (Playground play or indoor alternative.)
4:25 – 4:30 p.m. Transition (Songs and fingerplays are completed to transition children from outdoor to learning centers.)
4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Learning Centers with Mighty Minutes (Children choose from select play experiences with the high school students facilitating. Repeat today’s Creative Curriculum Mighty Minutes.)
